BETTA AKARENSIS (Regan,1910) / Akar Betta / Sarawak Betta
Betta Akarensis is one of the betta fish from B. Akarensis Complex.
There are currently 73 recognized species in this genus. The currently described Betta species can be grouped into complexes for conservation purposes (This grouping of species makes no claim at representing a phylogenetic reality).

Distribution:
Native to the island of Borneo where it has been collected in both Brunei Darussalam and parts of the Malaysian state of Sarawak with type locality Akar River, Sarawak state, Borneo, East Malaysia.
